Permanent Residence Card
Canadian Permanent Residents are foreign-born individuals who have immigrated to Canada and have been granted permanent resident status. Permanent Residents are not considered Canadian Citizens as they are citizens of other countries. For permanent residents living outside of Canada who wish to enter Canada and whose PR Card has expired, they can apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD). The PRTD is usually valid for a single entry to Canada, allowing the permanent resident to enter the country for one time.
